Please go to that site, and select the bottom left option to download the free Screen Sharing tool. Get instructions here on how to set it up to work with Net Ingenuity. Tonight I attended  a fine presentation on Search Engine Optimization,  Eric Highland’s November 27, 2012 presentation on DIY SEO for the WordPress Austin Meetup group.

What I liked most was when he said the most important thing you can do is to write well and that he welcomed collaboration with anyone who does so. As the publisher of the Austinot.com, he encoourages guest blogging. This presents a great opportunity for my local clients to establish their expertise and to gain local publicity and valuable in-coming links to their sites. For those of my clients who welcome this opportunity but who don’t feel comfortable writing, Net Ingenuity will ghost blog on their behalf.

A long-time client of mine (sculpturezone.com) asked me to hurriedly create a site for her partner, who is in the hospital in ICU, so he could receive and record well wishes from his friends. It turns out he is a legendary photographer who worked for LIFE, Sports Illustrated and People during their heydays. I have found and linked to many tributes and galleries with his amazing work. And the personal notes from accomplished photo journalists and others that are coming in the guest book are very inspiring.

These are the slides she used to introduce the topic, before performing an installation of WordPress and configuring the site.

Some fifty people came to the North Village Branch of the Austin Public Library on May 11, 2010 for the presentation, and others watched online via Adobe Connect.

Creating ebooks with InDesign CS6, a Presentation at Austin Adobe User Group

Ebooks now outsell print books. With InDesign CS6 it is easy to produce outstanding quality .epub and .mobi files for distribution over ipads, iphones, Kindle and other portable devices. Karen Kreps and Pam Knight demonstrated to the Austin Adobe Users Group the importance of proper formatting of an InDesign book for exporting to these formats. They also discussed the process of bringing a book to market.

Pam Knight, publisher for Plain View Press (1976) and founder of Isis Interactive (1993), is a producer and content developer who has used Adobe products for many years.

Karen Kreps of Net Ingenuity is a long-time member of the Austin Adobe Users Group, an online content developer since 1987 who uses WordPress and Adobe products and is  proud to now be working with Plain View Press.
